The Purcell Public Library hosts a day of information for genealogy researchers, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the library, 919 N. Ninth St.
The first one-hour sessions will be a demonstration of the Fold3 History and Genealogy Archive, presented by Library Assistant Gary Rice. The archive is one of the free research databases offered through the library. This database contains historical documents and personal histories from National Archives and other institutions.
Then in the afternoon, Rice will lead smaller one-on-one and small group sessions with various genealogy searches that can go more in-depth. Those sessions will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. and 3 to 4 p.m.
